As we mark the end of 2023, we are thankful for the work that the Lord has done through RFTG to help followers of Jesus think biblically about books. Ten years ago in 2013, the blog that would eventually become Reading For The Glory was launched. As we celebrate a decade of recommending good books, we wanted to take a moment and share the top ten reviews and articles from 2023.
These ten articles represent a variety of resources including kids books, author interviews, and discipleship articles, among others. Additionally we were honored to add new contributors to the team this year, and are excited to see several of them represented in this year’s list.
(1) RFTG Best Books of 2023
(2) Teaching Kids About the Beauty of God’s Family by John Davis
(3) The Context and Nature of Calling by Zach Kendrick
(4) The Gift of Loving Your Church by Zach Kendrick
(5) The Triune Friendship of God by Clyde Adams
(6) A Glimpse into Augustine’s Confessions by Bill Norton
(7) Four Marriage Lessons From A Godly Grandmother by Zach Kendrick
(8) Is The Resurrection of Jesus Believable? by Zach Kendrick
(9) A Call to Personal Evangelism by Zach Kendrick
(10) The Pastoral Aim of Productivity by John Davis

We hope you have been blessed by the resources that we have recommended this year. Don’t forget to check out the new RFTG Podcast launching January 11th, as well as our new series titled Authors You Should Know. In this series we will feature the works of authors that may not be as well known, but that we think should be more widely read. Stay connected for more information. We look forward to what the Lord has planned for 2024!
Soli Deo Gloria
