Listeners will likely be familiar with Elisabeth Elliot as a missionary in the mid-twentieth century whose husband Jim Elliot was killed alongside four other missionaries while attempting to make contact with Waodani people of rural Ecuador. Elliot was also a seminary professor, a popular speaker, and a best-selling author.
